Pig butchering scam is one of scam which victim is lured into fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme. The scammer create fake Instagram account with stolen model’s beautiful profile picture. You can check suspicious account characteristics:
- Comment disabled. To prevent other victim commenting.
- It don’t have tagged picture as normal social human.
- Their picture have many from bot account. You can recognize bot account characteristic from same name and number pattern.
Typically they contact victim via direct message, commenting about beautiful landscape. They begin conversation for days to build friendship.
Once victim believe them, scammer will lure them into fake cryptocurrency website. At first they will give fantastic return. Greedy for big profit, victim might invest all of money. Scammer disappear leaving the victim significant financial loss.
